Last week we spoke about how God has made his people a kingdom of priests in Christ. This week, in Acts 7, as we see these new priests do the work of the Church, things get very dangerous very quickly. Stephen becomes the first Christian martyr. But before he is stoned to death, and as he endures the suffering assigned to him, he offers a lengthy defense of the Christian faith and shows us the strength and power it gives to those who believe.
